The Knights Deliver For 'Giving Tree' Chairty

Giving Trees at Catholic churches bring joy to the needy. The Knights were there to once again help with the logistics and curb side deilvery of the 'Giving Tree' packages. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish is most generous in their contributions to helping needy families, single mothers and those less fortunate find a little comfort during the Christmas Season.

The

Annual Car Wash
             October 6th 2018

Try and try and then finally we pulled it off. That's the way the Annual Car Wash turned out this year. All summer long, weather was not our friend but with tenacity and perseverance on our side it all came together for the Knights in October. And yes, we did have a lot of fun and some of Brother Jeff Moser's 'Almost Famous' Char-Grilled Hot Dogs too!

The Strawberry Festival begins the day before with the Knights preparing for the event and boy oh boy can these guys slice strawberries!

Each berry is washed and meticulously cleaned then cut up into serving sized portions. Brother Frank then mixes in the final secret ingredients and the berries are placed into the refrigerator until they're ready to be served up with shortcake and plenty of ice cream.

The Feast of Corpus Christi is a Christian liturgical solemnity celebrating the Real Presence of the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the elements of the Eucharist.

In service to one - In service to all

charity

Our Catholic faith teaches us to “Love thy neighbor as thyself."

There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call we answer every day.

We were delighted to have Father Irudayaraj Illuri, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, visiting from Nellore, India. His mission to the United States is to raise donations for the 80 or so children within the St. Anthony boy’s orphanage he oversees. Father Illuri spoke on the needs of his Nellore Diocese Orphanage especially the need for a new building as their current residence is in danger of collapsing.

Knights recognize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action. A vote was taken and unanimously passed to help get that orphanage rebuilt giving those 80 orphans another chance and another day.
